This lovely and well-crafted punchneedle will serve you well to make rugs, wall hangings, furnishings and whatever else you care to try! The #10 needle works best with thicker wool, a #10 fine is made for thinner wool, so the loops are longer in relation to the wool strength. Do make sure you're using a medium to thick rug wool - it has the volume needed to stay in the cloth and give a nice definitiion. You will also need fabric to hook on - linen and cotton work well, burlap is popular because it is inexpensive. A frame is an enormous help (I mean it!), but in a pinch you can make your own out of tacks and clips and some sort of frame.
